The Work of Esteban Over the Decades

At age 18 enrolls in the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid and spends three years studying sculpture. Salvador Dali is a fellow student.

Receives an award to travel in the Province of Castile to visit historical sites and study works of art; briefly expelled for insubordination. In 1922,1923, and 1924 he spends summers in Murcia, an eastern province of Spain.
